Fireman died of hypertension during firefighting operation in Polangui, Albay.
FINSP Aramis Balde of BFP Region V confirmed that there was a casualty in the fire that occurred at a hardware store of JP Liao in the center of Polangui, around 2 pm, Monday, January 24, 2022.
Fireman Ramon Quiapon Jr., team leader of the Polangui BFP Team suffered attacked by his hypertension at the time of responding to the incident.
Other fire trucks also responded, coming from Libon, Ligao, and Oas.
Authorities are still investigating the source of the fire.
