The doctors of the Provincial Districts and Medicare Hospitals (PDMH) in a scheduled visit at the Castilla District Hospital collectively undertook elective surgery to listed patients recently.
Elective surgery is a procedure that is scheduled in advance because it does not involve a medical emergency.
The program was part of the health care initiative of the province and benefited 13 individuals who underwent successful major and minor surgeries like cholelithiasis and excisions. Cholelithiasis is a procedure is the removal of gallstone.
Castilla Mayor Isagani Mendoza said that the doctors’ activity was a big help to his constituents especially that most of them can ill afford the cost of major health problems and was all praise to the professionalism of the attending doctors for coming in aid to his townmates. He added that this becomes a reality because of the vision of the leadership of Governor Chiz Escudero to give what the province can as an entitlement of its inhabitant for their general welfare.
