Coast Guard Station Sorsogon rendered assistance in the evacuation of residents of Brgy. Puting Sapa,Juban,Sorsogon on Sunday, 05 June 2022.
The evacuation operation was conducted by PCG, in coordination with Juban Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (JMDRRMO).
A phreatic or steam-driven eruption on Sunday prompted the declaration of Alert level 1 (exhibiting low-level unrest) on Bulusan Volcano.
The public is reminded not to enter the 4-kilometer-radius permanent danger zone around Bulusan Volcano, and to be vigilant in the 2-kilometer extended danger zone due to possibilities of sudden and hazardous phreatic eruptions.
