BARAS, Catanduanes – The Municipality of Baras, Catanduanes received 13.1 million pesos for reconstruction rehabilitation recovery of the town after it was hit by typhoon Bising.
Three million of the fund was from the office of the president while 4.7 million pesos was, 5.4 previously downloaded chargeable to the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF) and another 4.7 million pesos release of the Department of Budget and Management.
Part of the funds will be used to purchase a relocation site said Mayor Paolo Teves. Land banking is a priority program of the municipality.
