SORSOGON CITY – A paramilitary man was shot dead, and another was wounded by a fellow member during a heated argument while having a drinking session.
The three, all members of the Citizen Armed Forces Geographical Unit (CAFGU), were having a drinking session inside the base camp Monday at Sitio Tublijon, Barangay Rizal, West District, Sorsogon City.
The suspect was Marvin Barbolino Velasco, 31, single, a resident of Barangay Managa-naga, Aroroy, Masbate.
The victims were Aljhon Esllera Docus, 26, single, with residence at Barangay Salvacion, West District, Sorsogon City, and Jaime Almonte Royo, 33, single, resident of Aroroy, Masbate.
According to a report, the three CAFGUs were drinking inside the Kalayaan Hall of the base camp when Velasco and Docus had a heated argument.
Suspect Velasco got his service long firearm and shot Docus.
Royo, who was trying to pacify the two, was also shot and injured.
Docus died on the spot.
The suspect was arrested by responding policemen from the Sorsogon City Police Station.
