Malacañang confirmed that Trixie Cruz-Angeles resigned after President Marcos did not reappoint her as head of Malacañang’s press and communications office.
Cabinet officials, bypassed by the Commission on Appointments (CA), were reappointed on Tuesday by Marcos, but Angeles was not among those who took the oath.
Officially, Angeles resigned “due to certain medical conditions”, as what Senior Deputy Executive Secretary Hubert Guevara wanted to convey publicly over the media.
According to the Office of the Press Secretary (OPS), President Marcos Jr. led the oath-taking of the following Cabinet members who were reappointed on Tuesday, October 4.

Raphael Perpetuo Mercado Lotilla – Secretary of the Department of Energy
Maria Susana Vasquez Ople – Secretary of the Department of Migrant Workers
