Castilla, Sorsogon – This time the junction at Barangay Sogoy, Castilla leading to the national highway claimed another life after a trimobile collided with a fuel lorry bound for Legaspi City around 2 pm on January 30. 2023 after two previous accidents in Castilla claimed 7 dead and 15 injured.
The junction is a critical area for it traverses the national highway.
The trike driver identified as Bernardo Ardales Abarientos and passenger Lorenzo Ardales Masbate were rushed to Castilla District Hospital by rescuers but Abarientos died while being attended. Masbate was treated for his injuries.
The driver of the lorry was identified as Aldrin Bañez Vista of Barangay Gubat, Iraya, Bacacay Albay now under the disposition of Castilla MPS.
