Upsurge in COVID-19 cases continue nationwide

Manila – The COVID-19 Tracker of DOH on its 4 PM, April 12 advisory recorded 15,149 deaths, 703,605 recoveries, 157,451 active cases. The data might not include the delayed transmission of information from its data technical team was a caution of the health department.

Topping the list among the provinces and cities with the high number of registered cases in Cavite with 45.349 followed by Rizal, 36,806 and Laguna with 35,231. Quezon City has 75,280 and the City of Manila with 52,384.

Among the regions NCR HAS 388,883, Region IV-A CALABARZON has 149,538, Region III-Central Luzon accounted for 65,834, Region VII Central Visayas recorded 54,842 and Region VI Western Visayas has 32,800 cases.

The information includes new cases in the last 14 days by the date of onset of illness.

The number of individuals tested by accredited facilities by the DOH has reached 10,169,468. On April 11 there were 32,835 tested individuals but only 159 testing laboratory has submitted their data out of 209.
