A public teacher currently assigned at San Roque High School, Brgy. San Roque, Bato, Camarines Sur drowned after saving his co-teacher companion while trying to cross the spillway Tuesday.
According to the report, the victim and his co-teacher were riding on a bicycle when they arrived at the spillway of Brgy. San Roque, they were swept away by the water current.
The drowning victim, Romeo Sison Jr., saved his companion, Gemmo Almazan Intia, from the onrushing water, but Sison was carried by the rampaging waters of the spillway.
Both are teachers of San Roque High School, Bato. The incident happened at 5:45 Tuesday afternoon, August 23, 2022.
