By the last quarter of this year, the Provincial government of Sorsogon will start constructing 500 housing unit intended for the informal settler presently residing in the blighted areas. Among the possible beneficiaries are those settlers from Barangay Bitan-o topping the settlers at Sitio Pinaculan.
This information was made public by the province information office.
The city government of Sorsogon meanwhile conducted a consultation for the qualified beneficiary family starting with those from Sitio Pinaculan. The design of the units was patterned after the Casiguran housing units which are already awarded and occupied and the town mayor Edwin Hamor will be part of administering the project.
In a huddle with the residents of Pinaculan, Governor Chiz Escudero said that providing decent housing unit to informal settler residing in the blighted areas must be part of the continuing re-structuring of the province in terms of public works it accomplished.
