Sorsogon has 1,236 recoveries from COVID-19

SORSOGON PROVINCE – Out of the 1,446 registered cases of COVID-19 in the province, 1,236 were able to recover according to the latest data released by the Sorsogon Provincial Health Office but the number of fatalities rose to 60 with two new deaths.

The latest death is Bicol Patient No. 9361 who was admitted at Castilla District Hospital on May 10 due to dyspnea, dizziness and body weakness. The 66 year old male is from Pilar town. The other recorded death is a resident of Barangay Pangpang, Sorsogon City registered as Bicol Patient No. 9262 was admitted at Sorsogon
Provincial Hospital due to coughing and difficulty in breathing on May 12. He was swab the same date confirming the virus and died the next day.

In Sorsogon City 14 were released from confinement considered as recovered. Also Matnog registered 9 recoveries including a six year old child. In Gubat 3 previously tested positive for COVID-19 were able to recover. Three recoveries recorded in Bulan including a 9 year old child.

Together with Donsol, Pilar, Castilla, Casiguran, Irosin and Pto. Diaz recorded a single recovery while in Bulusan two recovered.

Meanwhile the 186 swab results are confirmed negative of the virus but there were 9 positive cases in the newest tally from Sorsogon City two from registered Juban one each from the town of Sta. Magdalena, Pilar, Matnog and Donsol.

Most of the new cases were in close contact of Bicol Registered patients. None have travel history.
