In the local dialect, “paglobo”, or “enlarging like a balloon”, Sorsogon City authorities have described the Covid 19 situation in the city as coronavirus cases have increased almost on daily basis.
In haste, the city Local Inter-Agency Task Force, met on Tuesday, August 31, to discuss the alarming increase of Covid 19 cases.
Included in the discussion is the formulation of action plans to address the alarming virus spread.
Leading the meeting is City Mayor Ester Hamor, City Administrator Atty. Mark Gerald D. Guirindola, several members of city Sangguniang Panlungsod, personnel of City/Provincial Health Office, PNP, BFP, City DRRMO, and Seguridad Kaayusan Katranquilohan Kauswagan (SK3).
“Let’s brainstorm to make the city safe and create action plans to counter this virus,” City Mayor Hamor challenged the participants in the meeting.
Over the past weeks, Sorsogon City has recorded increasing number of Covid 19 cases, already registering more than 10 cases a day.
In the coming days, Mayor Hamor is expected to issue orders addressing the virus spike.
