San Jose Mayor Chavez of Camarines Sur sends ambulance to fetch Quezon cliff accident victims

San Jose Mayor Doc Marco P. Chavez in Camarines Sur sent an ambulance to fetch the accident victims who were passengers of the jeepney that fell into a cliff Wednesday in Pagbilao, Quezon.

According to Mayor Doc Mac Chavez, among 19 patients, five (5) were fetched from Lucena Memorial Hospital; three (3) patients were transferred to Bicol Medical Center in Naga City; and two (2) patients with minor injuries were brought home at Barangay Tagas, San Jose, Camarines Sur.

Rewinding back, on early morning of Wednesday, February 16, a jeepney with 19 passengers fell off a cliff along Old Zigzag Road, Pagbilao, Quezon Province.

The passengers came to San Jose for the kasalan bayan (mass wedding) on Valentine’s Day and departed back for Cavite.

According to report, the jeepney along Pagbilao Zigzag Road lost control, hit the road barriers, but went through and fell down over the cliff about a hundred feet deep.

Almost all passengers suffered minor injuries.
