The virtual oath-taking of Ramil “Doods” Marianito as Philippine Information Agency Regional Director for Bicol today was administered by USec and PIA Director General Ramon Lee Cualoping ending the long wait and guessing game by the personnel of the information agency who will helm the government mouthpiece in Bicol.
Marianito, a former disaster head of Sorsogon City who was assigned as an information officer sometime in 2019 by the present administration has years of experience as a radio broadcaster and is affiliated with a local radio station.
During the last national and local elections Marianito was part of the coteries of media personalities in Bicol pushing for the candidacy of BBM and may have influenced his appointment as PIA regional director for Bicol. A native of Masbate but made Sorsogon City his home which lead to numerous opportunities to be associated with political bigwigs of the province.
His communication qualities under his sleeves are his advantage but will grope the inner workings of the government mouthpiece as he cusp a new dimension distinct from his private passion as a broadcaster and becoming a public figure dishing the best but not the worst of government agendas.
