PH Covid-19 cases continue to surge; 14,749 recorded, 270 dead

The Department of Health has recorded 14,749 additional cases of COVID-19. Meanwhile, 10,720 were cured and 270 died on Sunday, August 15, 2021.

Of the total number of recorded cases in the country, 5.9% (102,748) were active cases, 92.4% (1,608,528) were cured, and 1.74% (30,340) died.

According to the latest report, all laboratories were operational on August 13, 2021 while there were 3 laboratories that failed to submit data to the COVID-19 Document Repository System (CDRS). Based on data over the past 14 days, the contribution of these 3 labs was approximately 0.9% in all samples tested and 1.1% in all positive individuals.

With the increasing number of cases, we remind everyone to continue to adhere to minimum public health standards. If you experience symptoms, immediately isolate and contact your Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams.
