Legazpi City mayor lockdown 2 business establishments

LEGAZPI CITY – Mayor Noel Rosal ordered a total lockdown of two business establishments in the city June 5, 2021.

The businesses affected are Japan tobacco International with business address at Legazpi – Sto. Domingo Road in Arimbay and the head office in the region of Legazpi Savings Bank 2F 738 Building, Rizal Street at Barangay Ilawod.

The order is for the city to maximize the implementation of COVID-19 risk management measures and based on the assessment of the situation. The COIVD-19 Task Force advised the temporary total lockdown of the establishments.

The closure will enable the trackers to fully record the close contacts and for its testing. At the same disinfection will be undertaken at the premises of the affected business.

The resumption of business is upon completion of contact tracing and close contact testing. An advisory to the public will be posted when all necessary precautions are done.

The general public is advised and all business sectors allowed to operate should strictly comply with the health protocols.

In a related development on the day of the lockdown, the city registered 8 new positive cases of the Novel Coronavirus.

The next day a spike was recorded with 67 new cases, some are asymptomatic others are positive when the antigen test was conducted, still, some are in close contact with a Bicol Registered Patient.

Among them are a police officer, coast guard personnel, a physician, nurse, retirees, engineer, self-employed, seafarer, government employee, and a housewife.

The 67 are either under quarantined and under hospital care.
