Granular lockdown was imposed on 2 streets of a middle class housing subdivision in Naga City, Camarines Sur on Friday night.
Under strict lockdown are Sapphire and Diamond streets of Lomeda Subdivision in Barangay San Felipe.
Reports said four residences in close proximity have active cases of Covid 19, that convinced the Naga City Government to impose granular lockdown.
Meantime, Naga City had recorded 292 new covid cases with a 3-day period, Wednesday – Friday, September 22-24.
On Wednesday, September 22 (2021), 119 new cases were recorded in the city in a single day, this surge has added up to the total number of 860 current active Covid cases in the city.
On Thursday, September 23, another 82 new cases of Covid 19 were registered in Naga in a single day increase.
On Friday, September 24, the city recorded another batch of 91 new cases in a single day.
The City’s hospital system is undergoing a crisis in hospital bed availability, as hospitals can no longer accommodate the rising daily number of Covid 19 patients.
