In a statement, the DepEd Schools Division of Sorsogon Family deeply mourns the demise of their fellow educators whose lives were cut short in a sudden and tragic vehicular accident on the afternoon of January 27, 2023.
It said that the educators choose to remain and served in preparation for the conduct of the National Achievement Test scheduled by Monday though the classes were suspended at noon that day instead of leaving for the comfort of their home and family misfortune struck. Their resolve exhibits their commitment and dedication to public service, it added.
The Schools Division Office will exert its due effort to facilitate the grant and release of financial assistance to the bereaved family per D.O. No 25, s. 2008. Likewise, the applicable rehabilitation leave may also be granted to the teacher who sustained physical injuries requiring a considerable period of recuperation.
In these trying times and circumstances, let us extend our help and comfort to our fellow public servants in the Department.
