DENR Regional office of Albay conducted on-site validation of Tulay sa Tibo in Barangay Panganiban, Gubat, Sorsogon as being one of the finalists in BEST MANGROVE AWARD for Bicol Region.
Mayor Sharon Rose G. Escoto highlighted that mangrove conservation and community participation are keys for successful management of Tulay sa Tibo.
MENRO Lea E. Santos presented social and environmental aspect of management, while Ms. Joy Endraca of ABS-CBN discussed economic factor of the project.
PENRO-DENR Representatives, LGU Personnel, Panganiban Barangay Council and representatives of different People’s Oganization showed support and assistance during the evaluation.
