The Department of Health recorded the highest number of cases as of January 5, 2021. It reached 10,775 additional COVID-19 cases. Meanwhile, 605 were cured and 58 died.
Of the total number of recorded cases in the country, 1.4% (39,974) were active cases, 96.8% (2,780,109) were cured, and 1.80% (51,662) died.
According to the latest report, all laboratories were operational on January 3, 2022 while there were 9 laboratories that failed to submit data to the COVID-19 Document Repository System (CDRS). Based on data over the past 14 days, the contribution of these 9 labs was approximately 2.2% in all samples tested and 5.3% in all positive individuals.
