Catanduanes Province is aiming a slot to get international recognition, calibrating itself as tourist destination.
It plans to land next year at the Guinness Book of Records by producing the longest rope made of Abaca fibers.
This is a dream made known by Governor Boboy Cua.
Cua said, in social media post, he wants the longest rope presented next year for the celebration of the Abaca Festival.
“I want it to be recognized in the Guinness Book of Records”‘, he declared after concluding this year’s Abaca Festival, a virtual celebration due to the pandemic.
Abaca is a natural tough fiber used by industries for their products.
