In a recent update the Regional Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit(RESU) of DOH Bicol that on April 3, Camarines Sur and Sorsogon are classified as moderate risk areas after an increase of Covid-19 positive cases and the remaining provinces of the region are low-risk areas.
But despite the increase in Covid-19 case in Bicol it is still in the low-risk area of the country. It urges and encourages compliance with BIDA an acronym for “B-awal walang mask, I-sanitize ang mga kamay, iwas-hawak sa mga bagay, D-umistansya ng isang metro, A-lamin ang totoong impormasyon” including those who received an initial dose of the Covid vaccine.
Clarifying, DOH-Bicol said that total protection against the chronic Covid-19 is usually achieved two weeks after the second dose thus infection with the virus is still possible within the gap.
