Bicol Medical Center (BMC) in Naga City, Camarines Sur had closed its doors to new Covid-19 patients as the hospital has reached its full capacity.
In a statement posted on Friday, June 4, BMC has stopped admitting new patients, except in severe and emergency cases.
The premier hospital said its isolation wards are understaffed, mechanical ventilators and oxygen facilities are already fully used.
BMC appeals to local government units to expand their quarantine facilities as to accommodate their constituents suffering of mild, moderate Covid-19 cases and asymptomatics.
LGUs can help decongest BMC by expanding their local quarantine facilities.
