Three individuals including a minor tested positive entering the new year, according to the latest report of the Provincial Health Office (PHO).
Governor Chiz Escudero identified the positives as Nelson Generalo Fragas, 74, of Caloocan in Matnog town; Ruth Encinares Mercado, 62, of Pinontingan in Gubat town and a seven -year -old boy from Balogo city of Sorsogon.
Fragas registered as Bicol Patient No. 46793 had exposure to those with travel history outside the province, while Mercado registered as Bicol Patient No. 46794 is a nurse at Forest District Hospital.
The minor was registered as Bicol Patient No. 46786.
So far, there are a total of 6,543 cases of COVID-19 in Sorsogon province, of which three are active, 6,097 have been recovered and 441 have died from the disease caused by the COVID-19 virus.
