Sorsogon Governor Francis “Chiz” Escudero on Monday condoled with the families and loved ones of the soldiers and civilians who died when a Hercules C-130 military plane crashed in Sulu on Sunday, July 4.

Meanwhile, the 96 troops in the Sulu plane crash are now accounted for, says a military updated report.

“My sincerest condolences and prayers go out to the family and loved ones of those who perished on board the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) C-130 that crashed in Jolo, Sulu, and a sincere prayer for the fast recovery of those who survived,” Escudero said on his Twitter account.

As of Monday, July 5, AFP said that “all 96 passengers of the C-130 Hercules plane that crashed in Patikul, Sulu on Sunday, killing 51 people, have been accounted for”.

Forty-eight military personnel were killed in the crash, while 48 were injured, according to latest military update.

Department of National Defense said Sunday three civilians, who were village people, on the ground were also killed, and four villagers were injured.

Among the injured, 18 troops were confined to the 11ID hospital, while 32 were evacuated to Zamboanga.
