The Camalig by-pass road project inaugurated Wednesday was funded and pushed through by the Provincial Government of Albay (PGA) under Governor Al Francis C. Bichara.
This alternative route is now 100% passable, measuring 3.8 kilometers in length.
The Camalig By-pass road is a diversion road connecting Barangay Salugan and Barangay Libod, serving as an alternative route for heavy trucks and other vehicles to avoid the heavy traffic in Camalig Proper.
An open market was also established (every Tuesday and Friday) along the Camalig By-Pass Road that now gives additional revenue to the public.
