Vietnam — Very low in self-esteem, rejected in job interviews for his “undesirable” look, a Vietnamese young man decided to undergo plastic surgery to get that “New, Improved” look to get social approval, hoping to land a job.
But, the “New, Improved” look costed him 9 plastic surgery operations later on, spending a total of USD$17,256, or Php 847,977.
26-year old Do Quyen, searching for his new, improve look, is trending in Vietnam social media.
Quyen had tried all in plastic surgery: rhinosplasty, chin implant, porcelain veneers, lip reshaping, double eyelid surgery, lip implants, etc.
According to Quyen, his parents have been opposing his operations, but he needed that elusive “social acceptance” and jobs he has been applying for.
He used to cry when he was always rejected in job interviews owing to his looks.
However, after 9 surgeries, there is no report if his “New, Improved” look landed for him the ideal job.
