23,000 doses of Coronavac (Sinovac) vaccines arrived at the Legazpi City Airport at around 11:25 AM, Tuesday, June 15, 2021.
The vaccines were transported to the DOH Bicol CHD Cold Storage Facility for inventory.
Of the 23,000 doses delivered, 1,600 doses are allocated for Camarines Norte; 3,900 doses for Camarines Sur; 1,600 doses for Catanduanes; 2,200 doses for Sorsogon; and 13,700 doses for Albay.
The allocated doses for Albay included almost 10,000 remaining unvaccinated A1 (health workers) priority group.
Additional doses were directly delivered from the national office to the island provinces of the region.
15,760 doses were delivered to Masbate on June 13, and 2,320 doses to Catanduanes on June 11.
The vaccines will be used for Priority Groups A1, A2 and A3, or the health workers, senior citizens, and persons with comorbidities.
DOH Bicol highlights the importance of masterlisting of LGUs since it is the basis for vaccine allocation.
