Another milestone for the Sorsogon sports facility is under construction at Inlagadian, Casiguran preparatory for the hosting of the province for the twice-postponed Palarong Pambansa tentatively scheduled for 2023.
The sports facility will be the venue of the swimming competition during the Palaro constructed with international standards in line with the aspiration of the country for a possible medal in the next Olympiad.
Barangay Inlagadian is well known for its cool water supply and its wet soil dotted by mountains and plains. Boosting its pristine waters is the Orok spring Resort and the dynamism of the Nagsipit Falls.
The size of the Olympic pool is 50 meters long, is 25 meters wide and a minimum of 2 meters deep or 6 to 7 feet and needs 660,430 gallons of water to fill. It will be fitted with Automatic Officiating Equipment touch panels at the starting end and the wall or touch panels at the turning end.
But to be considered as world-class it must conform with FINA (Federation Internationale De Natation) regulations and secured a Certificate for its Standard. I Bicol Express News
