SORSOGON CITY – The Sorsogon Provincial Board approved a Resolution during its 97th regular session passed a Resolution authored by Board Member Jose Arturo Erlano of the 2nd District that condemns denounces violent and abusive acts of public officials and or candidates for public office.
The Resolution passed unanimously was anchored on the credo that “public office is a public trust” that public officials are accountable to the people and must conduct themselves with utmost responsibility, integrity loyalty and efficiency.
The passing of the Resolution was in response to the incident in Irosin town during the conduct of Covid-19 Information caravan where an alteration between BM Edmundo Atutubo and municipal councilors Salome Navales and Borlagdan lead to the physical confrontation between the board member and municipal administrator Lorenzo Ubalde.
The incident became a trending topic in social media that derailed the sorties of the Info caravan for the time being until such time that the situations are resolved between contending parties.
