A swab project initiated by public and private groups has test run over the week the deployment of three (3) Swab Cabs in the barangays of Naga City, Camarines Sur.
The Swab Cabs will conduct antigen swab tests on people identified in reports from the Contact Tracing and Monitoring Center
Naga City, now under extended MECQ, had been registering continuous surge of Covid-19 cases over the past weeks and its hospitals operating in full capacity.
The joint project is initiated by Vice President Leni Gerona Robredo, Congressman Gabriel Hidalgo Bordado Jr (3rd District, Cam Sur), Mayor Son Legacion of Naga City Government, Metro Naga Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI), civic groups and volunteers.
The Swab Cab involves medical technologists of Naga City Health Office, volunteer nurses and midwives.
A Swab Cab carries PPEs and Rapid Antigen test kits to swab test close contacts and persons with symptoms.
Persons found positive by antigen tests will be counted as confirmed patients as defined by DOH Department Circular No. 2021-0122, and will be confined immediately at the Quarantine Facility.
