Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA), in deep sympathy, announced the death of PFDA – Bulan Fish Port Complex (BFPC) Port Manager Mr. Carlos “Caloy” E. Hagosojos on Monday, June 28, 2021, at the age of 63.

“Our beloved PM Caloy has been a valued member of the PFDA family since January 21, 1986.”
“Throughout his 35 years of service in the agency, he had been the Port Manager for several Regional Fish Ports including Zamboanga Fish Port Complex, Lucena Fish Port Complex, General Santos Fish Port Complex, Sual Fish Port, and Camaligan Fish Port, before leading BFPC.”

According to PFDA, in less than two months, the agency will celebrate its 45th anniversary with PM Caloy as one of the service awardees for the year.
“It is with great sadness that PM Caloy is no longer be able to receive this award. He persevered through the agency’s ups and downs, and with that, PFDA will always be indebted to his immeasurable service.”

PFDA said: “Today, heaven welcomes another angel. PM Caloy was not just a port manager. He was a good friend and a loving family. Life as we know it can sometimes be difficult, but PM Caloy was always the sun that brightened everyone’s lives. He was truly a force to be reckoned with.”
