Albay Governor Al Francis Bichara lifted the stricter quarantine status of the province from GCQ to MGCQ, starting Friday, July 16.
This signals a safer condition as the province registered surge of Covid-19 cases in June, forcing health authorities to impose stricter regulations from June 15-30, then extended again from July 1-15.
Surge of Covid-19 cases were also recorded in neighboring Sorsogon and Camarines Sur Provinces, and Naga City, a chartered city that was severely hit by rising cases.
Governor Bichara’s order lifted up the restrictions to MGCQ level covering all cities and towns.
Health protocols defined under MGCQ are enforced starting Friday.
