A milestone in Sorsogon track record in dispensing public good was evident among the awardees during the 1st Gawad Parangal K.U.S.O.G event highlighting the province commitment in promoting good governance as cornerstone in public service.

The Kahusayan sa Ugnayan asin Serbisyo, Onra kan Gobyernong Sorsogon(KUSOG) was a significant push to draw the attention of the province local government units down to the barangay level that essential public service recognizes development goals delivered by a sustainable innovative governance practices impacting the communities.

The goals of the province Gawad Parangal gave recognition for exemplary performance of local governments in calibrating the development of communities by way of transparent governance, accountability and participatory governance. This principles are the backbone of the present administration in dispensing public service for the common good creating a culture of public service governance wherein the community respond positively to walk and journey with the provincial government vision to have a better Sorsogon as a partner and collaborator for a dynamic development goals.

Governor Hamor took the challenge when he assumed as the chief executive of the province by identifying key areas hindering progress by instituting development goals like Gawad Parangal KUSOG agenda evolving within the 7K transformative plan for a better Sorsogon.

The December 13 event was a challenge and an opportunity for local government units to reflect that public governance is forward looking by enhancing their services within public a countability.
