The towns of Donsol and Castilla of the First District and that of the Second District towns of Gubat and Irosin are now reclassified as first class by the Bureau of Local Government Finance of R5 basing on the increased income the last three years of the respective towns.
Donsol and Castilla before are 3rd class while Gubat and Irosin are 2nd class. With the elevation of the four towns as first class was proof of the good house keeping efforts of its officials and its commitment to public service prompting Governor Hamor to recognize the effective leadership of the town officials noting that the reclassification of the towns is the community thrust to their local officials and the populace cooperative actions to the programs implemented by their leaders.
As before the support of the provincial government for development programs will continue which may entice the remaining municipalities to draw doable programs that will answer basic services and opportunities for growth as what the the towns of Donsol, Castilla, Gubat and Irosin has achieved.
