An Armalite-wielding man fired at a house, and threw a grenade on another, killing 5 persons in Barangay Tarusanan, Milaor, Camarines Sur, past 5 pm Friday, November 5.
The victims in one house were identified as Romeo de Leon, 72 years old and his two grandchildren aged 9 and 6.
De Leon’s neighbors identified as Samuel Coabilla, 21 and 7 years old were also killed. Another minor was injured in the incident.
Land dispute is the motive of the suspect in the killing, the police said.
According to Police Captain Rosalinda Moises, chief of Milaor Police, the victims were inside the house at that time when the suspect arrived and shot them with an M16.
He first entered de Leon’s home, and threw a grenade at the neighbor’s house.
The suspect, who according to the police is a relative of the victims, is now hunted by police.
