Up to 3,944 senior citizens in Castilla, Sorsogon received social pension for the first quarter of the year 2022.
Each received 1,500 pesos social pension from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Regional Field Office, assisted by Office of Senior Citizens Affairs.
Senior citizens are very grateful upon receiving their social pension earlier this year.
They also thanked the Office of Mayor Isagani Mendoza for its continued support and assistance, especially in providing additional benefits for senior citizens.
Mayor Mendoza once said that if he is lucky enough to return as Mayor, he will provide an additional cash gift of 500 pesos every December to all senior citizens.
Mendoza is seeking reelection this May elections.
