Two villages in Viga, Catanduanes, are now in lockdown owing to cases of Covid 19.
A media report said the lockdown, which will last 14 days, has affected 436 families who need daily food subsistence, alcohol, face masks, medical supplies, and other essential needs.
The Catanduanes Provincial Government has already sent first batch of supply to Barangays Jose Oco and Roxas, but the report said the food stuff and medical supplies are not enough.
Barangay Jose Oco has 7 Covid 19 cases, while neighboring Barangay Roxas has 3 active cases.
The two barangays are likened to a ghost town, with village watchmen and Viga police manning checkpoints.
On Thursday, the lockdown communities are now on the third day.
