Ten tourist policemen are deployed in tourist-frequented areas of Caramoan in Camarines Sur Province as the town became the fourth among the tourist destinations in the entire Bicol region.
In places to spend a vacation, this town is one of their favorites.
Christian Aries Guevarra, Municipal Risk Reduction and Management Officer, confirmed this observation before the media.
He said this shows that tourism in the town is good and attractive for tourists.
To boost up tourism, the ten (10) tourist police that the Caramoan Local Government requested from the PNP had arrived, to provide added security for tourists.
The tourist police personnel are scheduled for deployment to coastal areas where foreigners stay for vacationing, and will also set up outposts to strengthen information campaigns, guidelines especially about jellyfish poisoning that tourists and visitors should avoid.
The tourist policemen will provide immediate assistance to tourists needing help.
