SORSOGON CITY – Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) says Sorsogon Bay is now free from Red Tide, and lowered down the warning on Monday, August 2.

Gathering, eating, and selling of shellfish from Sorsogon Bay are now allowed by BAR.
“Areas still under Red Tide positive”
However, the coastal waters of Milagros, Masbate is still positive for Paralytic Shellfish Toxin (Red Tide).
BFAR said the red tide warning is still up along the coastal waters of Milagros, Masbate; Dauis and Tagbilaran City, Bohol; San Pedro Bay, Western Samar; Matarinao Bay, Eastern Samar; Dumanquillas Bay, Zamboanga Del Sur; Murcielagos Bay, Zamboanga Del Norte; Murcielagos Bay, Misamis Occidental; Balita Bay, Mati City, Davao Oriental; and Lianga Bay, Surigao Del Sur.
Said areas are still positive of Paralytic Shellfish Poison (PSP) or toxic red tide.
