The new Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory of Bicol Region General Hospital and Geriatric Medical Center (BRGHGMC) began testing of specimen for COVID-19 on April 21, 2021.
The laboratory completed its proficiency test from the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM).
It had received its license to operate from the Health Facilities and Services Regulatory Bureau (HFSRB) on April 15.
The laboratory can process a maximum of eighty (80) specimen per day.
