Sorsogon log 29th COVID death with 15 positive cases one recovery

A 65-year-old woman has died from an illness caused by the COVID-19 virus in Sorsogon province, according to the latest report by the Provincial Health Office (PHO).

Governor Chiz Escudero extended his condolences to the family of Jolita Forte Fuellas from San Antonio, Sta. Magdalena. Fuellas registered as Bicol Patient No. 5629 is the 29th cause of death in the province.

According to the report, Fuellas was first admitted to the hospital due to cough, cold and difficulty breathing. He had a swab sample taken on April 5 which was also the day of his passing. Fuellas was confirmed positive for COVID-19 on April 7, 2021.

Governor Chiz identified the positives as Jose Lacay Caubang, 24, of Gimaloto; Joan Latagan Lagata, 48, of Abuyog; Vonn Sherwin Balmores Minor, 39, of Balogo and Marcelo Balaguer Estorninos, 45, of San Isidro, Bacon, all from Sorsogon city; Mary Joy Llorca Vallejos, 35 years old and a 16 -year -old woman, both from Peñafrancia in the town of Sta. Magdalena; John Renz Mira Fuedan, 26, of Sabang and Enrique Hasta Bañares, 36, of Dancalan, both of Bulusan town; Alice Geneblazo Estabaya, 89, of Caloocan and Reynold We So, 49, of Camcaman, are from Matnog town; Rona Camposano Gapan, 29, from Poblacion Sur of Barcelona; Jacob Fernandez Hila, 24, of Macawayan Irosin; Arthur John Santos Gachitorena, 57, of Binanuahan in Pilar town and Jayvee Lelis Ferreras, 45, of Luna-Candol in Gubat town.

Fuedan and Caubang registered as Bicol Patient No. 5627 and 5631 are SPH health care workers, while Gapan registered as Bicol Patient No. 5623 is a frontliner.

Bañares and Ferreras who are registered as Bicol Patient 5628, and 5668 have a travel history in Legazpi City and NCR, while Hila who is registered as Bicol Patient No. 5626 is an LSI from Las Piñas City.

Valejos, the 16 -year -old girl, Estabaya, Gachitorena and So were registered as Bicol Patient No. 5624, 5625, 5630, 5632 and 5665.

Lagata registered as Bicol Patient No. 5666 is a government employee and Menor registered as Bicol Patient No. 5667 is an engineer.

Estorninos registered as Bicol Patient No. 5669 is a driver.

Leopoldo F. Entac Jr., 34, of San Isidro in Barcelona, was allowed to return home.

The province recorded 149 negative swab results today.

Currently there are a total of 831 cases of COVID-19 in Sorsogon province, of which 115 of them are active, 687 have recovered and 29 have died of the disease.
