This time the local government unit of Pugay, San Jose, Camarines Sur through the initiative of Punong Barangay Rogelio Chavez and well-meaning residents purchased the vegetables produce by their farmers to set up a Farmer-To-Community Pantry.

In a Facebook post in LGU San Jose, Camarines Sur it was learned that after typhoon Bising, farm vegetables that were harvested were purchased by the barangay and made available to the affected residents for free by setting up their own community pantry named Farm-To-Community Pantry.

The initiative is perhaps the first in the province.
