Naga City in Camarines Sur Province has 292 active Covid-19 cases, with new patients recorded daily, according to a report Monday, June 28, 2021.
In response, the City will extend its Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) order, starting Thursday, July 1 until July 15, this year.
According to City Mayor Nelson Legacion, this was under the Recommended Community Quarantine Classifications by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) other day.
“292 active Covid-19 cases”
Naga City, as of Monday, June 28, 2021 report, registered a total of 2,616 confirmed covid-19 cases, which 2,248 patients had recovered, and 76 deaths.
That Monday report revealed it has 292 active cases.
And, 146 houses under localized lockdown.
Three weeks ago, Government-owned Bicol Medical Center was operating in full capacity, closing its doors to new incoming Covid patients.
“MECQ until July 15”
Naga City had imposed MECQ, from June 15 up to June 30, but the surge of Covid 19 has remained uncontrollable, hence MECQ is extended, from July 1-15.
Legacion said the same rules and guidelines will apply under extended MECQ, stretching the effectivity of his June 15 Executive Order 2021-014 he issued, imposing MECQ over the City.
“New cases daily”
Naga has been experiencing surges of Covid 19.
On June 29, 2021, the City has registered 15 new COVID-19 cases.
On June 28, it recorded 6 new cases with two deaths.
On June 27, registered 15 Covid patients.
June 26, recorded 28 patients.
June 25, admitted 39 patients.
June 24, reported 40 patients.
June 23, recorded 29 Covid patients.
