The towing vessel, MT CLYDE and barge, CLAUDIA are now anchored at 1 kilometer distance from Lidong Port, Santo Domingo, Albay.

The sea vessel is securely anchored at 07:20 a.m., after arriving at 6:00 a.m. from Butuan City, Tuesday, July 20, 2021.

Eleven (11) crewmen are confirmed Covid 19 positive after leaving Indonesia, before making port call at Butuan City, CARAGA, where they submitted themselves to RT-PCR TEST.

Maritime security and monitoring team from Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Station in Albay are securing the areas to prevent anybody from going near the sea vessels and to prevent the crew from leaving.

This is to prevent virus spread and efficient management of quarantine.

A PCG doctor is on standby to attend to the medical needs of the crew.

Meanwhile, officials of PCG and Office of Civil Defense (OCD) are holding a conference as of Tuesday noon, discussing about the needs and proper management of the ill-fated sea vessels and crew, as not to compromise health security and protocols.
