SORSOGON PROVINCE – With 2 more deaths by COVID-19 in Sorsogon City, the number of fatalities is now 67 for the province. They are Bicol Patient No.9949 and Bicol Patient No. 9980.
Patient No. 9949 was rushed to the hospital on May 16 but died the same day. The patient’s post mortem swab was positive on May 19 while Patient No.9980 was admitted on May 17 but early the next day he died. A post mortem swab result was confirmed the same day that it was positive for the virus.
There were also 17 new active cases in the province five from Sorsogon City, 6 from Matnog including a minor, 2 from Irosin town one from Juban and Pilar town.
Seven of the new positive cases are a close contact of a registered Bicol Patient. There were also nine recoveries according to the latest data released.
On the other hand, PHO Sorsogon on May 20 recorded 182 negative swab results.
