Israel and Hamas agreed to a ceasefire

In various international news dispatch, Israel high-level security cabinet voted in favor of a ceasefire which can bring an end to the 11 days of hostilities with the Hamas terror group operating in the Gaza Strip

The Egyptian mediated initiative for a bilateral ceasefire was to take effect later but with the reality on the ground attrition may continue.

Following the meeting, a Hamas official confirmed to the Reuters news agency a “mutual and simultaneous” ceasefire with Israel had been reached.
