A graduating student with highest honor as Magna Cum Laude in Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) is the daughter of a tricycle driver who doubles up as a village watchman (barangay tanod).
The graduating Magna Cum Laude is Armie B. Esller, 22 years old, resident of Sitio Contod, Barangay Rizal, Gubat, Sorsogon.
Armie’s father, Ariel Esller is a tricycle driver, doubling as a village watchman and farmer.
Her mother, Alma Eller, is a plain housewife.
Armie’s graduation is on Friday at Sorsogon State University.
According to her aunt, being a scholar and under sympathetic guidance from parents and relatives had helped Armie finishes college with honors.
In a related development, a young lady student who works extra as small town lottery (STL) bet collector is also graduating as Cum Laude in Secondary Education major in Sciences at Sorsogon State University.
The STL bet collector-cum-student is Daisylen Hael, whose STL income had helped her on school expenses.
Hael’s mother is a “Cabo”, or STL chief bet collector in their locality.
