To honor the late Naga City Mayor and Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo on his 9th death anniversary on August 18, 2021, a special activity for bicycle bikers will be launched.

Bikers are invited to join the event.

Secretary Robredo died in a plane crash in the waters off Masbate Province in 2012.

In connection with this, there will be a “Pedal Ki Jesse” activity, with 300-400 bikers are expected to participate.

They will bike through the places where Robredo used to work to office, and to places close to the heart of the late Mayor/Secretary, and to his grave.

Free registration is open to all at the City Environment and Natural Office (CENRO), the organizers ensure that health protocols are followed.

According to City Events Protocol and Public Information Office or CEPPIO, “the activity is to remember the symbol of the ‘bicycle’ which allowed the former Mayor to reach remote communities, directly hearing from and seeing the needs of residents.”

The late Mayor was also known for his “Tsinelas leadership”.
