Bautista makes it to Senate ‘Magic 12’, urges people to sustain support

Latest Pulse Asia survey shows senatorial bet Herbert “Bistek” Bautista making it into “Magic 12”.

UniTeam senatorial candidate Bautista today thanked people for the support they gave that pushed him to the “Magic 12” in the race for Senate seats, but asked for sustained efforts to keep him in the winning circle until the May 9 elections.

“The trust you gave me is priceless,” said Bautista, three-term mayor of Quezon City.

“You can be sure that not only will I return the favor but exceed expectations as a senator,” he said.

Results of the latest Pulse Asia survey showed Bautista breaking into the winning circle with a 12 to 14 ranking, after 32.8 percent of the respondents said they would vote for him.

His awareness rating was high at 94 percent.

Bautista said he was elated by his success in convincing people that he was a worthy candidate and hoped the support would carry him through, until results of the voting are counted.

Bautista is running under the Bongbong-Sara ticket on a platform of Internet reforms, Livelihood for all and Youth development, or ILY, and Pagkain para sa Pamilyang Pilipino.

“To everyone who believe in me, I express thanks from the bottom of my heart,” said Bautista.

“But the journey is just beginning. I appeal for your continued support until Election Day and beyond.”
